My name is Mrs. Sullivan, and I am thrilled to be teaching 7th grade Social Studies-Eastern Hemisphere at Skyview Middle School. The students and staff are welcoming, kind, and fantastic to work with every day! I am really looking forward to an amazing year experiencing everything Skyview Middle School has to offer.

Although this is my first year teaching in Colorado, I have taught school in 6 different states. Originally from California, I earned my Bachelor's of Arts at Cal State Northridge and my Master's of Arts at University of LaVerne. My husband and I moved here in June 2023 and are very excited to put down roots in the Colorado Springs area. We have three grown children and triplet granddaughters who keep us very busy! My hobbies include reading, sports (especially NASCAR and football!!), traveling, and genealogy. 

My passion for teaching and my passion for history collide perfectly as a Social Studies teacher. I love making history come alive for my students. I love exposing them to new geographic regions and cultures while helping them to make connections and ask questions. Ultimately, I hope to instill an appreciation for how our global society has evolved into its modern form. Theodore Roosevelt once said, "The more you know about the past, the better prepared you are for the future." Preparing students for the future and shaping life-long learners has been my passion for 20 years!
