    After a great start to our 2020-2021 school year, we are back to E-Learning. Our staff at FESoT are here to help all students and families.  Be ready to learn and give your best effort so you can SOAR!

    E-Learning Expectations

     Workload/Content Delivery

    Kindergarten & Grade 1

    • Minimum of three live/recorded sessions of explicit instruction per day in reading, writing and math.
    • Minimum of five 10-15 minute independent work activities to be done at family discretion over the course of the week.

    Grades 2 & 3 

    • Minimum of three live/recorded sessions of explicit instruction per day in reading, writing and math.
    • Minimum of two 15-20 minute sustained work activities daily.
    • Minimum of 4 independent work activities to be done at family discretion over the course of the week.

    Grades 4 & 5

    • Minimum of three live/recorded sessions of explicit instruction per day in reading, writing and math.
    • Minimum of two 20-30 minute sustained work activities daily.
    • Minimum of 5 independent work activities to be done at family discretion over the course of the week.

    Staff Expectations 

    • Staff will provide common delivery of playlists/assignments etc. and be consistent in their practices. 
    • Staff will be organized, prepared and available to students and families during school hours.
    • Staff will be flexible when working with families and students.

    Parent/Guardian Expectations

    • Parents/Guardians will monitor and support their child’s work.
    • Parents/Guardians will frequently and actively communicate with their child’s teacher.
    • Parents/Guardians will drop-off and pick-up their students on time if participating in small group interventions. 
    • Parents will partner with their child’s teacher to understand log-ins, programs and technology utilized during the e-learning process and will communicate when support is needed.

    Student Expectations

    • Students will take ownership of their learning by logging in daily and completing/submitting assignments in a timely manner
    • Students will use technology appropriately by treating equipment with care. 
    • Students will not eat, play or leave instruction when live with their teacher to maintain focus.
    • Students will join meetings/video groups on time and participate actively in the learning process by asking and answering questions and asking for support.
    • Students will put forth their best effort at all times.

     

  • Attendance

    Attendance during E-learning will be calculated through assessing completed work and active engagement with classroom teachers and provided playlists and activities. If a student is not able to complete each day's work, please communicate with your child's teacher for an excused absence. We will work alongside with you to help all of our Hawks continue to SOAR!
