Welcome to our FHEP Arts Enrichment page! 

I'm looking forward to meeting your students as we begin our arts journey this year!  I have experience both as a public/private school arts teacher as well as a homeschooling parent to my own children.  I was born in Colorado Springs and am happy to call it home again after many years traveling the country supporting my husband's military career. 

I love having students experience how enriching and fun the arts can be!  I believe the arts support learning for all students, regardless of their interests or career aspirations.  The arts benefit young people by allowing them to develop 21st century skills like creativity, communication, critical thinking, and collaboration. These skills are critical to success as an adult and also help students as they learn in other academic areas too!

Students do not need prior arts background to participate in our arts enrichment classes. The activities are designed for students of all levels and experience.  My goals are for students to build confidence by trying new things, to practice working in groups successfully, and to have fun while potentially finding new talents and interests in the arts!
