Back-to-School Announcements

  • Back to school night is a great opportunity to meet our amazing staff and tour the building. Gain some insight to the various resources we offer as well. 

     

    We welcome families back to the classrooms for teachers to share about what the year ahead will look like for your learner. Including what new skills and knowledge they will master and the ways we plan to celebrate their learning success throughout the year. We will offer two sessions in the classrooms to connect with the teachers and two sessions in the gym to connect with the leadership. 

     

    4:00pm - Whole Group Presentation (gym)

    4:30pm - Classroom Presentations (Option 1)

    5:00pm - Whole Group Presentation (gym)

    5:30pm - Classroom Presentations (Option 2)

    Kindergarten First Day Aug. 1st

     

    We are excited to welcome our newest Mustangs! On August 1st is our orientation for kindergartners. Here is the Kindergarten flyer which explains how the first day will work. It will not be a full day.

  • Kindergarten Screening

    CALLING ALL MUSTANGS!

    Dear Kindergarten Famililes,

    This year, we are taking the opportunity to hold "mini class sessions" with our newest Mustangs. These 30-minute visits will give us the opportunity to meet your littles in a small-group setting, watch how they interact with adults and their peers, and get a quick-check of what skills they are starting school with. We will use this valuable data to create balanced classrooms which set all students up for success.

    During your 30-minute session, we ask that you wait in the parking lot or our entryway while we focus on assessing your student in the classroom.

    Please review the available slots and choose the time that works best for you. Choose from any of the 4 classes...they are just to help us build screening groups and will not determine final class placement.

    We can't wait to welcome you home to Remington!

Back-to-School Resources

  • School Supplies

    Remington Families,

    I hope your summer has given you all the rest and blessings you were hoping for. Now get ready for another great year because we are so excited for 2024-2025!

    We are doing school supplies a little differently this year. Remington will purchase the majority of your child’s school supplies in advance to have them ready for your student on the first day of school. In order to make this happen, we are increasing the school fee from $25 to $45. However, this new amount will include all basic student school supplies and classroom materials (pencils, crayons, markers, paper, folders, etc.) Now, our families will only need to purchase:

    • a backpack

    • a water bottle (if needed)

    • a lunch box (if needed)

     

    An additional benefit to ordering supplies this way is that if you apply and qualify for our Free/Reduced Meal program, your $45 student fee is eligible to be reduced, waived, or refunded.

    We hope that you are as excited about this news as we are! Our bulk order will provide savings to all our Mustang families, while helping you avoid that exhausting WalMart supply trip.

    Save the date for our Meet the Teacher/Back to School Night on Wednesday July 31st from 4pm-6pm.

  • Parent Portal accounts

    If you have not set up your parent portal account, please do so as soon as possible. Your child's teacher assignment will be available to you on July 29th on the parent portal, so please make sure you have set your portal up.

    The parent portal will also be the place where you can report an absence.
