My name is Brandy Heitzenrater (Hi-t-zen-writer) but I have the students call me Ms. Brandy and I am a Special Education Teacher. I have been working in education for 8 years. I was born in Seattle, Washington and was adopted at age 4. With my adopted family, I moved every 3-5 years with the Air Force and then as an adult I served in the Army as a Medical Supply Specialist. I have never lived in one location or house longer than 5 years. 

I love working at Skyview Middle School. We all work as a team to help support students to be the most successful version of themselves. I feel very supported by my team and am happy to join the school. 

My degrees are for a general education teacher and special education. I love working with students in their classrooms to help them find what success looks like. I love seeing the light bulb shine bright when they finally get the subject or assignment they did not understand at first.
