PRE-SEASON PRACTICES:

Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00am - 11:00am at Cherokee Ridge.  Please bring $5 each for range balls. IMPORTANT: players wanting to tryout for Boys Golf must have a completed physical and all online paperwork completed.  See the Athletics page on the Vista Ridge website for more information.

Seasons:

Boys - For 2022, the boys' season begins on August 1st.  Tryouts will be held on August 1st and 2nd at Cherokee Ridge Golf Course beginning at 3:30pm.  Please contact Coach Zielinski prior to this date to confirm your plan to participate.

Girls - Girls golf season begins in late February/early March (exact date TBD and will be posted here and on the Google Classroom Girls Golf page).  All other information below applies to the girls' season, as well.  

Important Information:

• Transportation is not provided to practices and most tournaments (For Varsity tournaments we will sometimes have a small district vehicle). Players/parents are responsible for personal transportation to/from practice and tournaments.
• Golf clubs are not provided to players.  We do have team golf bags for players to use.
• Practices are held at Cherokee Ridge Golf Course Monday – Thursday (some Fridays) and will begin at 3:20 each day.  Practice will end promptly at 5:00 (unless otherwise noted).  Coaches cannot leave the course if players are still present, so please arrange to have your ride at the course no later than 4:55pm.
• Some practices will take place indoors at school if weather keeps us off the course.
• Having previous golfing experience is helpful, but not required, in order to play at Vista Ridge. Typically, in years past, we have had to make cuts on the boys team, but not on the girls team.  Our roster usually has four groups:
• Varsity – Four Players
• JV – Four Players
• Developmental Team – Four Players

These groupings are fluid and players may move from one group to another during the season.

What do I Need to do to Join?

1)    Register for sports at Vista Ridge following the instructions on the main page for Athletics.

2)    Pay the athletic fee.  This fee includes use of a team bag during the season, team shirt and team hat or visor (shirt and hat are yours to keep).  This fee also includes the cost of greens fees at all tournaments and the cost of range balls and greens fees at our practice facility.

3)    Have an updated physical on file with Vista Ridge Athletics.

4)    Sign up for team communications (players and parents) by joining our Google Classroom pages with these codes:
