Skyview Middle School College & Career Center

  • COLLEGE INFORMATION

    • Preparing for life after high school is more than just a one time event. District 49 uses the Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP) to help students achieve their high school and post-secondary goals, regardless if a student wishes to attend college, trade school, enter the workforce, or join the military. District 49 utilizes YouScience as a useful tool for students to learn their interests, abilities, and skills. As well as connecting students to career clusters, to help them see what careers may fit them best based on their YouScience results. This all allows the district to assist with students' post-secondary training and more. The district can create accounts for students on the PPBEA Marketplace website to input their skills, certifications, as well as find job shadows, internships and apprenticeships.

      College Admission Testing

Admission to a 4-year college or university usually requires taking either the ACT or SAT. Due to policy changes, SAT and ACT scores may need to be provided to colleges and other related organizations directly from the testing agencies. Juniors and Seniors should also see the Counseling portion of your individual high school's webpage for more financial aid information and opportunities.
