Welcome to Horizon Middle School! This school year will be my 13th year as a Horizon Panther. Wow! During this time, I taught 6th Grade Social Studies and also served all middle school grades as the Business Education teacher for seven years. As the Choice & Success Advisor, I am super excited about the opportunity to support students with career exploration in a brand-new way. This position falls under the Career & Technical Education (CTE) umbrella and will continue my passion of always looking out for what's best for our students and preparing them for all future options. I will do this by conducting ICAP (Individual Career and Academic Plan) conversations, facilitating career interest survey assessments and coordinating work-based learning opportunities and presentations for our students. All of these activities provide valuable learning experiences to set all students up for success!

My personal interests are watching football (especially college), track & field, exercising (Zumba!), reading and spending time with my ever-expanding family. Family is my #1 love. Although we have long settled into our local community, in my heart I will always be part of the worldwide military community as well.
