Degrees and Certifications:

BA Secondary Education Theater and Speech Communication from Purdue University with a minor in Secondary Education US History

Mrs. Jennifer McDonald

I began my journey in theater when I was only in 6th grade. I joined a Theater company and began taking acting classes. I continued with theater and acting all through high school where I was in 6 school productions. After a brief time in a different major, I decided I wanted to be a theater teacher.

I began my teaching at Jefferson High School in El Paso, Texas. There I taught Theater, Speech, and World History. I moved to Colorado in 1996 where I spent my first year as a substitute teacher. I got a job at Falcon High School in 1997 teaching part-time. I quickly moved into full-time teaching and remained at FHS until 2014. I am now entering my 9th year as a Firebird and I love teaching middle school! I received my award for 25 years in D49 at the end of last school year.

My amazing husband and I have been married since 2004 and together we have three wonderful children. One son is in 11th grade at Falcon High School. Our other son is in 10th grade at Patriot High School. Our daughter is starting her 7th grade year at FMS. We also have an adorable mutt named Marble who gets spoiled by everyone in the family.

When I am not teaching, I like to relax at home and watch movies with my family. I am also dedicated to my fitness and exercise every day before school. Our family is trying to be more active. We love to camp and we are trying to focus on doing more outdoor things together such as hiking.
