• Identification of Alternative Instruction Classes

    New CDE Requirement 24/25

With the new Public School Finance Act changes, any student participating in the newly classified Alternative Instruction will need to be identified for what specific learning type they are participating in.

D49 Process: we will identify these types of classes using two existing PowerSchool features

    • The period class is scheduled
    • The naming convention of each section

Any student enrolled in these classes will automatically be identified and reported to CDE as the appropriate learning type. This will require some beginning-of-year setup but will streamline the work for the remainder of the school year.
