My name is Lisa Bergen, and I am the SOAR/ Gifted and Talented Teacher. I am excited to work to provide students with a safe, caring environment in which they can feel comfortable learning and being challenged to reach their goals. 

I hold a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Elementary Education with a certificate in Middle School Education. I started my teachinig career in 2015 and have had the privilege of working with students in second through eighth grade during my time as a teacher. I am excited to be a part of the D49 team and to help the gifted and talented students on their academic journey. 

Growing up in Connecticut was amazing. You can have it all in regards to hiking, beaches, and beautiful folliage in the Fall. Some of my favorite memories with my family were spent at the beach in the summer. As my five siblings and I grew up, we have all moved to various other places throughout the country. After college, I moved to Indianapolis, IN and taught there for six years before moving to Colorado in 2021. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching movies, baking, and hiking.
