Hi! My name is Mary Gonzalez and my family and I moved to the Falcon area in September 2023. My teaching career began after I graduated college when I taught English as a foreign language in Thailand. After that, I became a Peace Corps Volunteer in Colombia and taught English to students of all ages. I spent a few years in a general education classroom in Georgia before I found my calling teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I got my Masters degree in TESOL from Mizzou in 2021. My husband is in the Space Force and we moved from Georgia to Ohio and I taught high school ESL for 2 years before the birth of our son and our move to Colorado. 

Outside of school, I enjoy going for walks and hiking. I am new to high altitude baking, but have made some huge strides since my initial attempts. I also enjoy playing board games and spending time with my family. We have 2 pets, a dog, Jason, and a macaw, Ruby. I'm excited for this school year and to see my students' growth!
