I’m really excited to teach 2nd grade again at Evans Elementary this year.  Although I have only been at Evans for 7 years, this will be my 19th year teaching. I graduated from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in 2004, where I received my bachelor’s in English and a teaching certificate in Elementary Education. I received my teaching experience from schools in Colorado, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Texas.

On a personal note, I have been married to my wonderful husband for 32 years, who I met and married right here in Colorado Springs.  We’ve had quite an adventure together and plan on many more.  We have a beautiful daughter, who graduated from the University of Texas in Arlington with a business degree and just recently gave us our first grand baby.  We also have a free-spirited son, who moves around often.  The only baby left is our miniature dachshund, named Butters.

On the weekends, you will find me solving a puzzle, visiting family, reading a good book, or watching a movie, usually from the Marvel series.
