Mrs. Jennifer Tomme
My name is Jennifer Tomme. I am starting my 4th year as a Physical Education Teacher here at Sand Creek. I have lived in Colorado my whole life and love getting to enjoy all of the activities Colorado has to offer. My family and I enjoy camping, fishing, skiing and anything else we can do outdoors.
I graduated from Adams State University with a BA in Exercise Physiology and and Leisure Sciences with and Emphisis in Athletic Training and an Emphsis in Sports Mangement. In 2003 I started my career in Athletic Training working in a local physical therapy clinic. I went on to work for Centura as a High School Athletic Trainer. Following the birth of my son I decided to become a teacher. I earned my Masters in Secondary Education from University of Phoenix in 2008.
My goal as a Physical Education teacher is to help students find the same love and passion for activity that I have. Each student is different but there is an activity out there they will love. My job is to help them find it. Whether it is a team sports, weight lifting or outdoor activities such as rock climbing and hiking, I do my best to make sure my students learn about a variety to activities. I also have the oppurtunity to work with our Athletic Trainer here at Sand Creek by teaching the Athletic Training / Sports Medicine courses. Through these courses students learn about Athletic Training and other Sports medicine professions. They are given an oppurtunity to internship with our Athletic Trainer and also learn Basic First Aid and CPR.
