I am thrilled to be starting my teaching career as part of the Firebird Nation! As a Colorado native and Vista Ridge High School alumni, I am no stranger to the amazing District 49 and Colorado Springs. I went to school at Colorado State University where I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Hospitality Management (Go Rams!). I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction at University of Colorado - Colorado Springs. I am extremely passionate about fostering a love of reading in my students; middle school is where I found my love for reading!  Before returning to Colorado, I enjoyed adventures in Florida, including working at Walt Disney World, seeing manatees at Silver Springs, and exploring St. Augustine with my partner and our husky, Panda. When I’m not immersed in my classroom, you could likely find me lost in a book – my favorite series of all time is Percy Jackson and the Olympians!
