Mr. Ron Goad
I have been teaching in D49 since 2002, ever since retiring from the Army. I am married, and my wife, Meg, also teaches in the district. We have two adult children, Whitney and Aaron, and two (so far) grandchildren, Nathan and Timmy. I like to read, play golf, fish, camp, and play with our two dogs, Snoopy and Jack.
I teach a class called Transition, which is for Juniors and Seniors. It focuses on personal finance skills, career interests, and job hunting skills. I also co-teach several science classes.
I am active in the district Special Education Advisory Committee, serving as Co-Chairman for the past two years. The SEAC is dedicated to ensuring all of our students with special needs receive the best possible education and support.
