Josie Mai is a professional visual artist and personal chef. She has been teaching art K-12 and university level for 20 years. She was born and raised in Kansas City and went to college at the University of Kansas and Parsons the New School for Design in NYC. She has a partner of 12 years named Lance, and three dogs, Maya, Kiowa, and Zuni.
