Bachelor of Music Education; Northwestern College - St. Paul, MN Bachelor of Music Composition; Northwestern College - St. Paul, MN ------ About Mrs. Meyer: Mrs. Meyer is the head choir director at FHS. She is looking forward to her eleventh year teaching and her eighth year at Falcon High School. She loves teaching choir and is excited to see significant growth in the program! Mrs. Meyer works with middle school and high school choirs across the state as a visiting clinician and has served as a judge for the CHSAA large group choir festival. She will be a presenter at the CMEA (Colorado Music Educator's Association) conference in January 2025. She has also composed vocal works for Colorado choirs (including FHS) and had two works selected to be read at the Colorado ACDA (American Choral Director's Association) conference in July 2024. When she's not teaching, Mrs. Meyer is an avid board gamer. She also enjoys gardening, composing (especially at coffee shops), sitting down to a nice meal, and tackling home improvement projects.

About the FHS Choir Program

Falcon High School offers a robust portfolio of choir courses, including two treble choirs, two mixed choirs, one tenor/bass choir, and two show choirs (which incorporate dance). The FHS Choir program has had student representation in the Colorado all-state choir during the 2022/23 and 2023/24 school years. The FHS Mixed Select Choir has been selected to perform at the CMEA (Colorado Music Educator's Association) conference in January 2025. All FHS choirs regularly receive I (superior) and II (excellent) ratings at the CHSAA large group choir festivals.

2024-2025 FHS Choir Auditions

Auditions for auditioned choirs during the 2024-2025 school year took place in January 2024.

If you are new to FHS in the 2024-2025 school year and would like to complete an audition for one of our auditioned choirs, it is not too late! Please reach out to bethany.meyer@CO01900838.schoolwires.net and/or tyler.privia@CO01900838.schoolwires.net to schedule an audition.

Every student auditioning for a show choir, Mixed Select Choir, or Treble Select Choir at FHS must submit the following two documents:

      1) Signed Parent & Student Agreement form (page five of the FHS Auditioned Choir Handbook [link at the top right of this page!])

      2) Audition Form (page six of the FHS Auditioned Choir Handbook)

Students should bring their signed Parent/Student Agreement of the 2024-2025 Auditioned Choir Handbook (blank copies will be available in the FMS choir room starting next week) to their audition.

You do not need to audition to sing in the choirs at FHS!

Falcon High School offers the following non-auditioned choir courses:

Concert Choir (a beginning-level choir for all grade levels - no audition necessary)

Treble Choir (an intermediate-level choir for sopranos, altos and/or females of all grade levels - no audition necessary for grades 10-12)

Tenor/Bass Choir (an intermediate-level choir for tenors, basses and/or males of all grade levels - no audition necessary for grades 10-12)

Falcon High School also offers the following auditioned choir courses:

Mixed Select Choir (an auditioned choir for sopranos and altos grades 10-12 to learn choral singing at a deeper level)

Treble Select Choir (an auditioned choir for students grades 10-12 to learn choral singing at a deeper level)

Show Choir (an auditioned introduction to high-school-level show choir for students of all grades)

Advanced Show Choir (an auditioned, competitive, traveling show choir - grades 10-12)
