My name is Shameka, and I am native to Jacksonville, Florida (Go Jags). Our Buckeye family moved to Peyton in 2017 and includes seven children. I began my education journey as a long-term substitute in 2020 after serving 13 years in the U.S. Army. I knew teaching was my calling. I firmly believe in empowering students to reach their potential, so I strive to create a safe and nurturing learning environment. My goal is to help my students develop into confident, independent thinkers who are equipped to face future challenges. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, crafting, and hiking.
