Colorado Springs is new roots for my family and me. We moved here in 2019 from Northern Michigan. As an Air Force family, we were in search of some new terrain to explore. I started teaching in 2014, both language arts and science. I have taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I have always taught both subjects until moving to Colorado. Since arriving, I've been part of the 8th grade science team. I really enjoy teaching science- there are so many exciting things happening in the world connected to science and allowing students to make those connections is excting. 

I attended Western Michigan University's College of Education- graduating with both a secondary degree in English and Science. It's a really great balance!

 

Outside of school, I enjoy camping, reading, outdoor recreation, and spending time with my husband, two daughters and dog. We are always in search of new places to explore in this beautiful state.

 

I came from a small district where everyone knew each other. What I like most about working at Skyview is that it feels like a family. People take care of each other. I enjoy the excitement our school has for success and learning. The staff at Skyview know how to celebrate all the wins, big or small.
