I grew up in Kenya and Tanzania, East Africa and have wanted to teach since I was about 5 years old. I attended Baylor University for my bachelors in education and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary for my masters in education. I've been teaching for 29 years and have taught grades PreK through 8th. I've lived in Tanzania, Kenya, Brazil, England, Texas, Alaska, Oregon, and Colorado. I've also traveled extensively within the United States and abroad. I am married to Tom Holts. He is a retired military officer and works at Woodmen Valley Chapel on the Heights Campus. Tom and I enjoy hiking, motorcycle trips, beach trips, reading, and spending time with family.
