SRES Staff has taken several opportunities this year to participate in fun teambuilding events. We have had a cornhole tournament, staff Whirlyball day, bowling, and more! Mr. Winston has been pivotal in planning these events and they're supported by our School Wellness Committee.
It has been great to see the staff play together as well as they work together. These events have really strengthened our already strong school culture!

Learn More About Mr. IngramFor a recent project I completed, I was asked to write a few essays. I would like to share two of those essays so that students, parents, and fellow teachers can learn a little bit more about me and why I feel I have been called to teaching. Feel free to read the essays below titled "Professional Biography" and "Philosophy of Education" to learn more about my journey as an educator.

PE Shoes
1. Cover the entire foot
2. Have good ankle support
3. Have a flat sole (no heels), and
4. Have either laces or Velcro fastening (shoes with zippers will work, but your student may get tired of constantly having to re-zip their shoes.
Any footwear with a tall heel, crocs, or sandals will not be acceptable, and your student may have to sit out for safety purposes. If they sit out regularly, their grade will likely be impacted as well. Thank you, and if you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them for you.

PE Homework - EVERY DAY!!!
-
PE Homework should be done every single day for at least 30 minutes at a time (60 minutes is better). Any activity that causes your heart to beat faster, your breathing to become faster, or may cause you to sweat is a good choice for PE Homework. Examples include: soccer practice, walking your dog, dancing, jumping on a trampoline, playing catch with a friend, riding your bike...the possibilities are endless!
PE Homework is not graded, assessed, or otherwise used for your PE grade, but it is strongly encouraged. Not only is it the most fun you can have doing homework, but your body and brain will feel so much better and healthier if you are physically active!
