Anne Flemke

Hi, my name is Anne.  I have been teaching preschool age students for 8 years and have been teaching at Springs Ranch Elementary School for 2 1/2 years.  Currently, I am pursuing my MA in Early Childhood Special Education at the University of Colorado, Denver.  It has been such a positive experience learning and implementing techniques in the classroom.  I enjoy working at Springs Ranch and with my preschool team. I appreciate this age group and seeing the huge growth that happens each year.  I have two  incredible children.  My son is currently in high school and plays lacrosse and soccer for his school.  My daughter is in middle school and plays volleyball and soccer for her school.  We also have a spunky black labrador that is seven years old, but still acts like a puppy.  I love living in Colorado and appreciate all the nice weather.  I enjoy hiking, walking, skiing, tennis, and just hanging out with my family.

  • Dear Parent’s,

I hope everyone had a great break!

For the month of January we will be working on our Clothes Study. In class we will be talking about what kinds of clothes to wear during each season, talk about textures, talk about colors. We are going to incorporate math, science social studies, art and technology into the Clothing unit.

At home parents can talk to their children and discuss how the clothes were made by having them look at labels to find out. When you shop for clothes, help your child notice clothes are organized in the store and how it has a price tag on it.

During this lesson we would like parents who sew, cross stich, embroidery, to volunteer to come and talk to the classes. If you are interested please let either Ms. Anne or Ms. Dawn know about this. We are thinking this happen the Week of Jan 16th – 20th. We will be concluding this lesson tye dying socks.

Remember to send your children to school with coats, gloves, and hats. We try to go out even if it is for a brief time.

Supplies we are in need of are forks, paper towels, Lysol wipes.

  • Dear Parent’s,

What a great start to our first week learning about trees. This week your child started learning different items that come from trees, like: Syrup, Fruits, and Chocolate. We are learning that Fall is coming and it is brining colder weather and shorter days.

If you have not brought in items that represent Fall, you still have the opportunity to bring them in this week.

This week we are going to review the letters and letter sounds for F, M, H, A, and O.

The school has bought a tee shirt for each child which will be given out Tuesday Night when you attend the Reading Night.
