Welcome to Springs Ranch Elementary and Room 16! My name is Susan Beiner, and I have the privilege of being your child's fifth-grade teacher. This is my tenth year at Springs Ranch and my 25th year of teaching.  I can't imagine doing anything else!  

I look forward to a challenging, exciting, and fun 2024–2025 school year!  I am teaming with Ms. Bower this year.  My content area is English/Language Arts and Science for my homeroom children.  

     I moved to the Black Forest in June 2015 from Weston, Florida, a community just west of Fort Lauderdale, where I taught fifth grade at Manatee Bay Elementary School and lived for 17 years. After graduating from Colorado State University in 1987, I have had the opportunity to live in such exciting places as Erlangen, Germany; Antigua, British West Indies; Saba, Dutch West Indies; and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. However, after being away from Colorado for 29 years, my desire to be close to family and return to this beautiful state has brought me "home."

     My husband and I enjoy playing with and training our Belgian Malinois, Jura, and Heila. David and I are involved with agility and obedience classes with them. We also enjoy working around our home, traveling, riding our Harleys, hiking, camping, weightlifting, and hanging out with family. In winter, you can find us tearing up the slopes and skiing.

     I love teaching! I look forward to working with you to help your child reach their full potential. Communication is the key to our success, so please feel comfortable contacting me with any questions or concerns you may have throughout the year. My door is ALWAYS open!
