Bachelor of Applied Science in Management and Supervision Human Resources in 2020 from Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, FL
Mrs. Savanah Rodriguez
Welcome to Mrs. Rodriguez’s 3rd grade class! This is my second year here at BRES. I am so excited to be part of such an amazing 3rd-grade team!
I received a Bachelor of Applied Science in Management and Supervision Human Resources in 2020 from Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, FL. I began my teaching career as a substitute teacher in 2021, with a DoDEA school in Fort Campbell, KY. I quickly learned that teaching was my passion. I was selected for two long-term substitute teaching positions in 4th and 5th grade that school year. The following school year I worked as a long-term substitute teacher in 5th grade, where I taught for the entirety of the school year.
My family and I relocated to Colorado Springs in June 2023 from Fort Campbell, KY. I was hired with D49 in July of 2023 as a general education para educator at Bennett Ranch. In March 2023, I took a long-term substitute teaching position in 3rd grade. I am fortunate to have worked in many different roles and classrooms here. It has allowed me to build relationships with students (including many of my incoming ones this school year). I received the Support Star of the Year Award for the 2023-2024 school year.
I am lucky to have grown up as a military brat and have spent the last 16 years as a military spouse. I have lived in 9 different states (sometimes more than once) and 2 foreign countries in my lifetime. My favorite way to describe my life is by saying I have left my heart in many places. I have a daughter (17) and a son (15). I also have two Catahoula Leopard dogs, Ranger and Liberty. I enjoy teaching, reading, spending time with my family, gardening, kayaking, hiking, camping, traveling, crafting, attending concerts, working out, photography, and party planning.
I am pleased to work with you and your child to foster a strong relationship. My classroom is a safe space, and I want everyone to feel seen and heard. I look forward to adding you all to my family this school year. The best way to contact me is via email at savanah.rodriguez@CO01900838.schoolwires.net.
