Hi, my name is Rachel Johnson, and this is my 2nd year teaching preschool at Bennett Ranch
Elementary. I have also taught preschool in Maryland for two years at a Lutheran school. As an
Educator, I recognize the immense responsibility and privilege of shaping the minds of my
students. I am dedicated to instilling a love of learning, respect, and compassion through
modeling positive interactions and relationships.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in General Studies with a concentration in Behavioral Science
and a minor in Health. I also earned my Associate’s degree of Science in General Business and a
Preschool Teaching Certificate from Maryland. I am currently working on my Master’s in Early
Childhood Education with a Special Education License at the University of Colorado Denver.
When I am not teaching, I am a wife and mom of two boys. I love spending time with my family.
Exploring the outdoors. The military has moved us many places and Colorado has been our
favorite! There are so many opportunities for our family here that we plan to make this our
retirement home. Some of my hobbies I enjoy include DIY craft projects, organizing, and
working out.
I am passionate about teaching preschoolers and look forward to being a part of your child’s first
learning experience.
