Hello, my name is Lisa Jones. I am thrilled to say this is my fourth year at BRES. I have worked in district 49 since 2002 and have held several positions during that time: paraprofessional, substitute teacher, kindergarten teacher, first grade teacher and reading interventionist. This will be my fourth year as a reading specialist.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and teaching certificate from Regis University. I continue to be a life-long learner by taking professional development classes and learning from others. My craft of teaching continues to evolve year after year.

Connecting with students, families and my co-workers is a passion and strength of mine. I work hard to develop strong relationships. Once relationships are established then we can learn and grow together.

I have been married to my husband, who is retired from the Army, for 34 years. We have three adult children and grandchildren whom we adore. I love the great outdoors, working out, reading and spending time with family and friends.
