Hello and welcome back IVES students and families! My name is Mrs. Davis and I will be your child’s 1st grade teacher this year! I am so incredibly excited to meet you all and start a fun and exciting year in 1st grade! 

I am excited to say I am new to IVES this year, but not new to education! I will be starting my 10th year as an educator this year. I have previously taught 3rd grade and 2nd grade in D3, and most recently 1st grade in D12. I have a love for art and incorporate it as much as I can into my lessons. I create a warm and loving classroom that promotes growth and learning, perseverance, and fun each day. I am excited to be a Flyer and to continue my love for teaching 1st graders! 

A little about me: I am a Nebraska Cornhusker at heart! GO BIG RED! I went to school at Nebraska Lincoln and received my bachelors in Elementary Education. I came to Colorado in 2015 for my first teaching job and fell in love with the profession and the mountains. I married my high school sweetheart and have two wonderful boys that are 4 and 1, and a sweet orange tabby cat. In my free time I enjoy being in the sun, going to the pool, parks, and hiking with my family, doing home projects with my hubby, and shopping at target!
