Hi y’all! I’m so excited to be teaching at IVES! I have formally taught first grade in Texas! I chose to teach elementary school because I love building that strong learning foundation. These first few years of schooling are very beneficial to our students and I love being able to be apart of those milestones. 

I have a Bachelors degree in Education and an ESL and Science of Teaching Reading certification from Texas State University. I value early childhood literacy and enjoy watching our young readers grow. When you get to watch the light bulb light up in a students mind, there truly is no better feeling. 

In my classroom, we are a family. Every voice is heard and valued. Classroom environment plays a big role in students learning and that’s why I ensure everyone feels safe and welcomed. We truly are one big family. 

In my free time, I enjoy exploring, spending time outdoors, and shopping. I spent majority of my childhood in Park City, Utah therefore I’ve always had a love for the mountains. I have a husband in the Army and 3 fur babies that I adore.
