Hello IVES families! I am so thrilled to be joining this amazing team, and to have the opportunity to learn with our amazing 5th graders this schools year.

I graduated from Arizona State University in 2011 with my BA in Elementary Education, and I began teaching right away. I have taught 1st and 4th grades, as well as 7th and 8th grade reading. In 2018 I earned my Master’s degree in Instructional Design. I love learning and am looking forward to starting work towards a Doctoral degree in the future.

My husband and I have been married since 2019, and we have a 4 year old son. We love to play outside, watch movies, and cook together. We moved to Colorado Springs in early 2023 from Mesa, Arizona. We love living here! I love all things Disney, Harry Potter, and Star Wars. I love to draw, craft, and bake. 

I know that every student is capable of learning at high levels, and it is so important to me to know my students by both their strengths and needs. As we learn to embody a growth mindset, we will realize that our classroom is a safe space to make mistakes, try new things, and grow together.
