Teaching writing is my favorite part of English Language Arts, so being the writing interventionist is the perfect job for me. I love helping students learn how to express themselves clearly through their writing. It is also an essential skill that students need to help them find success as they grow and move into the adult world. In addition to teaching writing intervention, I also teach 7th and 8th grade honors English language arts. I am looking forward to helping my students prepare for high school and their further education. This is my fourteenth year teaching at Horizon. 

My husband and I have lived in Falcon for twenty-six years, and we love being near the mountains so we can camp and hike. We have three sons, two daughters-in-law, and four grandchildren. In my spare time, I like to quilt, read, work in my garden, and spend time with my grandkids.
