Welcome!  Mrs. Leonhardt is a full-time Orchestra teacher at Horizon Middle School.  Her primary instruments are the bassoon and violin and 2024-2025 is her 14th year as a public school music educator.  
"I am originally from Arizona and am happy to be in the beautiful Pikes Peak area.  I fell in love with music performance as an 8th grader in Arizona and have been involved in the field ever since!  I know how important the middle school years are to framing how students relate to music making.  It is my mission to ensure all of my students have a musical self and have access to the best possible music education."

Mrs. Leonhardt currently performs as the principal bassoonist in the Little London Winds and as a second violinist with the Pikes Peak Philharmonic.

Mrs. Leonhardt was the 2018-2019 Horizon Middle School Teacher of the Year.
