This will be my seventh year teaching at Horizon and I am so excited for this school year! I've taught 7th grade science, ELA and I am excited to continue this year as our reading interventionist. I moved to Colorado Springs from Michigan and have loved every second of it. I am a huge sports fan and you will definitely see me cheering on the Detroit Lions and UofM Wolverines during football season. I have a 2.5 year old son who loves to keep me busy with all things sports and a baby girl that we welcomed into our family last January! I also have a German Shepherd/Husky named Maya and a cat name Luci. In our free time my husband and I love to get out and explore all that Colorado has to offer. Some hobbies include snowboarding, golfing, and exploring the outdoors.

I have a B.S. in Natural Resources Biology from Central Michigan University and a Masters in Education from Oakland University with a focus in Science and Language Arts. I absolutely love reading and am excited to share that passion with my students this school year!
