Hello,

 

I am a third generation Colorado Springs native and LOVE being outdoors. Hiking, camping, backpacking, fishing, going to concerts (COUNTRY music is my favorite), etc., are just a couple of things I enjoy doing with my husband (Travis) and the dog we rescued 9 years ago (Bane). We are excited to announce we are welcoming our first child this September, 2024! I will be on maternity leave from September-January. However, I have an amazing long-term substitute that will help continue the progress we will be making in just the first month together. 

 

I come from a large family of educators who have helped grow my passion for teaching. I received my B.A. in History with an Elementary Education emphasis from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and received a Reading Teacher K-12 Endorsement through the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. 

 

This is my 11th year at Woodmen Hills Elementary. I've previously taught 4th grade, Kindergarten, and 1st grade. This will be my first year as K-5 Literacy and Math interventionist and I am beyond thrilled to be starting this new position. I am here to help your child navigate any challenges they may face academically and socially. I will be working closely with your child's teacher and you to make sure we are fostering positive learning experiences that fit their passions.
