Welcome to 3rd grade! I am delighted to be returning to Woodmen Hills Elementary School, where I have been teaching since 2015. My goal is to help instill a love for discovery in meaningful ways that are personal, relevant, and applicable for each child: impactful learning empowers individuals and enriches communities.

I have lived in Colorado since 1989, after growing up in the Phoenix area and graduating from Arizona State University with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism. Beginning in the workforce, my newspaper reporting career fueled my curiosity, love of learning, and desire to motivate others - three values that have transferred easily to the classroom. When I am not at school, I enjoy backpacking, hiking, trail running with my dog Ederra, attending arts productions (classical music, opera, theater, etc.), astronomy, and reading.

My husband Tom and I have a total of five children and four grandchildren, living across the country. Our youngest child is beginning his sophomore year at the University of Tennessee, where he is planning to pursue a business degree and continue playing ice hockey.
