Welcome! My name is Jaime Obertubbesing and I am a 1st grade teacher here at Woodmen Hills! 

A little about me--I have lived in Colorado Springs for most of my life, so even though I am not a native, it is the place I call home. When I am not at school, I love spending time outdoors as much as possible! I also enjoy photography, live music, and spending time with family and friends. 

It was teachers that I had growing up that developed my own passion for teaching--I knew I wanted to make a difference like those who had made an impact on me. I earned my BA in English with an emphasis in Elementary Education from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. This is my 11th year at Woodmen Hills and my 9th year teaching 1st grade! I love the excitement and energy these littles bring to the classroom. I look forward to watching your kiddos grow this year!
