Mrs. Lombardo
I am so excited about beginning my ninth year at Woodmen Hills Elementary! I have been teaching for 25 years at a variety of grade levels. The first two years of my career were as a third grade teacher in Illinois, where I was born and raised on a pig/soybean/corn farm. After working at a Steamboat Springs summer camp as a wrangler, I fell in love with Colorado, so I moved here without knowing a soul. I spent 15 years teaching in Widefield School District. During my time in Widefield I taught 5th, a 3rd/4th combination class, junior high language arts, 3rd, and 2nd grade. I absolutely love 2nd graders! This age shows so much growth and it's exciting to see how much they've learned and matured by the end of the school year! My heart belongs to second graders and their sweet nature.
I have been married for 19 years to my husband, Andru, who is retired from the Air Force. We have a Chihuahua mix (Ginger) and a Yorkie (Charlie) that we love dearly, as well as a horse (Gioia- a wild-caught mustang) and a mini horse (Little Si). We moved to a rural neighborhood near Falcon ten years ago and we absolutely love the peace and quiet! During my free time, I enjoy horseback riding, hiking, walking our dogs, exercising, going on bike rides, working in the yard, baking, and indulging in TV watching - mostly true crime or documentaries.
I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know the students and families of Woodmen Hills Second Graders! It's going to be a great year!
