My name is Ms. Sherva and I am the Health and PE teacher at Vista Ridge High School. I grew up in Illinois, played soccer at Illinois State University where I received a bachelors in elementary education. I taught a few years in Illinois before moving to South Korea to teach English for a year. After South Korea, I decided to go back to school and get my masters in Athletic Training. I was fortunate to have worked with various levels of athletes, including NAIA women's volleyball, high schools and club sports. Prior to teaching at Vista Ridge, I worked in orthopedics and was also a surgical assistant in the operating room. Health and fitness have always been a huge part of my life and are both something I am truly passionate about. As a Health and PE teacher, I strive to empower students to make informed choices that will positively impact their health and well-being for a lifetime.

 

Some of the classes I teach are Health, Intro to PE, and Lifelong Fitness.

 

My favorite activities are hiking with friends, long walks with my dog Koda, weight lifting, reading, and exploring this beautiful state.
