    Master Sergeant Craig Thompson

     

    Master Sergeant Craig Thompson is an Aerospace Science Instructor at Vista Ridge High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. His education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Space Studies, American Military University and an Associate in Applied Science degree in Space Studies, Community College of the Air Force.

    Sergeant Thompson entered the Army in May of 1997 as a Combat Medic. After graduating from Basic Military Training and Advanced Individual Training, he was assigned to the Medical Troop 3rd Armored Calvary Regiment, Fort Carson, Colorado where he served as a combat medic while stationed there, he deployed for peace enforcement operations. After serving 4 years in the Army Sergeant Thompson joined the United States Air Force in Jan of 2002.  After completing Space 100 at Vandenberg AFB, California, Sergeant Thompson was stationed at Schriever AFB, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Sergeant Thompson’s first assignment in the Air Force was the 1st Space Operations Squadron. He spent 17 straight years in Colorado Spring, Colorado.  In 2015, Sergeant Thompson was selected to become a First Sergeant. After graduating from the United States Air Force First Sergeant Academy, he was assigned to the 375th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, and was the principal advisor to the commander in maintaining discipline, standards, morale and welfare. He and his wife Charity have five children and they enjoy spending time with family and traveling in their RV.
