I am a native Coloradan who spent most of my childhood moving around due to my dad's job. I went to Doherty High School and then attended the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. I majored in history and minored in geography for my undergraduate degree. I then continued on and obtained my masters in curriculum and instruction. I am in my eighteenth year of teaching. I spent my first seven years at Wasson High School in Colorado Springs School District 11. Once District 11 closed Wasson, I needed to find a new home. I landed here at Vista Ridge High School and am in my eleventh year as a wolf. This year I am teaching Geography/World History and AP Human Geography. I use Google Classroom for all my classes, so students have access to all notes, assignments, test reviews, and a test corrections form. Parents are welcome to join my Google Classroom so they can see what their student is learning in my class.
