My name is Tara Anderson. I'm grateful to be at D49 and am actually a former student (grades 1-12) who graduated from Falcon High School. Believe it or not, Falcon Middle School used to be at Patriot High School's location. After teaching and working with schools in other districts, I believe Vista Ridge is a great choice for public education. As a former recreation personnel, coach, behavior therapist, and health and P.E. teacher, I am here to support and promote the mental/emotional, social, and physical health of each individual and hopefully along the way students will find their niche to develop and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. 

 

Some of the classes I get to teach include Rock Climbing, Lifelong Fitness, Intro to P.E. and Partners in P.E. 

 

As a Colorado native, I enjoy exploring the outdoors and staying active. Activities I enjoy outside of school include ice skating, fishing, hiking, dancing, weight lifting and tennis. I also enjoy reading non-fiction books and watching an occasional documentary or movie based on a true story.
