This is my first year at VRHS and I'm excited to be here! I am the CTE Business Teacher, teaching business-related classes, including Introduction to Business, Introduction to PC Applications, Principles of Marketing, Principles of Accounting & Finance, and Principles of Management. 

 

Prior to coming to VRHS, I worked in Healthcare Administration, with experience in Audiology, Ophthalmology, and Dental. My husband and I have also owned and run our own businesses for 15 years, including a martial arts & fitness center and a retail store. Additionally, I'm a former Radio Producer for Fox News Radio and Marketing & Advertising Assistant for a newspaper and digital media company. I work hard to help my students see that they can use skills and knowledge of business in any field, regardless of their career path.

 

In my free time, I love sewing dresses for my two daughters, playing the piano, singing, and writing music, and I play piano for the children's organization at my church. I plan to learn how to play the violin soon. I love spending time with my husband and 4 children (2 boys and 2 girls), especially attending my kids' sports games and other activities. I'm a military spouse of 16+ years. My husband's Army career has provided our family with many fun and unique experiences. 

 

Fun Facts About Me: I originally studied vocal music performance for a year in college, but then I changed my major to journalism to have more career options. When I was a Junior in high school, I was selected as 1 of 5 individuals, out of hundreds of submissions, to do a vocal solo audition for a well-known film director at the Danny Kaye Playhouse in New York City, for promotions for a new talent agency. Music has always been an important part of my life. I grew up in Western Colorado, in Rifle, and my husband was born and raised in Fort Collins. Colorado will always be our home!
